Why we love the Enabot ROLA Smart Pet Water Fountain
There's a lot to like about the Enabot ROLA Smart Pet Water Fountain, which is available in both corded and cordless versions. I went for the cordless version and keep it charged when we're in the home, but there's an impressive battery life that's useful overnight and when we're out – we think it's one of the best pet water fountains on the market. The wireless pump helps keep the water clean, too, so we feel happy to let our cats, Bunny and Dougie, use the fountain as they please.
Our cats were slightly wary of it at first, just because it's different from what they're used to, but after a couple of days, it was like they'd been using it for months. Here's everything I love:
1. Powerful battery and impressive battery life
Both versions have a powerful battery, with the cordless version's 5000 mAh battery lasting for 60 days when used wirelessly. We keep the fountain in the living room, but it'd be easy to place it anywhere in our apartment regardless of power outlet location.
2. Safety and hygiene are prioritized
The water fountain's Magnetic Induction Wireless Pump Design removes electric circuits from the water tank, meaning that our cats can drink safely.
Meanwhile, the pump helps keep the tank clean and prevents dirt from accumulating. The fountain is extremely quiet, too, so we aren't disturbed – even at night.
3. Great smart capabilities
It's easy to connect the fountain to the ROLA app, which means we can track our cats' water intake and receive notifications if the fountain needs charging or cleaning, or it's time to refill the tank. It can sense when our cats are approaching so it's ready to dispense water – and the green light on the base will tell us that it's about to do so.
It's also reassuring that we can keep an eye on our cats' drinking patterns to highlight any particular health issues – though fortunately we haven't had any cause for concern! This is particularly useful if you're concerned about your cat not drinking.
4. Great value
With such a powerful battery and the use of the app, the price of the fountain is impressive. The plug-in version costs $39.99/£34.99, while the cordless version costs $49.99/£43.

Enabot ROLA Smart Pet Water Fountain: User experience
Set-up
I found the fountain easy to set up – it didn't take me long to put the components together with the simple instructions. The most tricky part of the set up process is getting the fountain to connect on the ROLA app, but it doesn't take long in the grand scheme of things.
Quality and durability
The fountain feels sturdy – ideal when we have two young and often hyperactive cats – and looks high-quality. The cord is durable, too.
Value for money
With both versions of the product under $50, the value was one of the aspects we were most impressed with. Considering the extensive battery life and the ease of use, it really does feel like a steal.
Design
The fountain looks sleek and easily fits into a living room or kitchen. The tank sits on a base, which the cord is plugged into, and the fountain head delivers water when it senses an animal coming by ready to drink. Any water the cat doesn't drink goes back into the tank through a narrow slit in the basin so there's no waste or spillage.
Enabot ROLA Smart Pet Water Fountain: Verdict
There might be more expensive pet water fountains with more mod cons, but the Enabot ROLA Smart Pet Water Fountain does everything we need it for – and Bunny and Dougie are big fans.
I think it'll be a firm fixture in our apartment for a long time. Its safety features help keep our minds at rest, while the battery life is impressive and means that our cats will always have water on demand. The app is a great touch, too, helping us keep on top of maintenance and our cats' health.
